Stockcar Championship Racing

Enjoy the thrill of Stockcar racing in a series of races in real BriSCA Stockcars with trophies, commentators, race marshals and pace cars all adding to the fantastic atmosphere on the day.

Once you arrive at the venue you will be given your race overalls and begin a safety meeting where you will learn the dos and don’ts of the day as well as being able to size up your fellow racers. You will then be split up into groups which will begin some practice sessions with the expert tuition of an instructor before you start the heats proper. If you score well in the heats you will be entered into the championship final. After the heats you will race in the Professionals Challenge which is an off-road challenge in a race-prepared rear wheel drive Sierra. Then comes the Del Boy Challenge where you get to drive in a race prepared Reliant Robin! The final event of the session is a blindfold event where you the driver won’t be able to see a thing but you will be ably assisted by your co-pilot.

After lunch, the serious racing starts – the Championship Finals, this consists of a high powered series of races against the days main competitors for the title. Remember there are trophies to be won so get stuck in!

Guidelines for participants

The maximum weight is 20 stone for this activity.

The maximum height is 6′5″ and the minimum height to take part is 4′11″.

The minimum age to participate is 17 years old.

A full driving licence is not required but you must be able to drive a car.

Drivers should be generally fit and healthy as driving can be tiring and physically demanding.

Racing Driver Experience

Hit the track in single seater racing car for some serious motor racing fun!

When you arrive at the venue you will be given a safety demo before you can be unleashed onto the track. At first you will familiarise yourself with the track and new racing techniques as advised by your instructor in a high performance sports or saloon car. Once you and your instructor are confident in your abilities on the track, you will be allowed to jump in the single seater racing car and burn some rubber. Try to remember the advice of your instructor as you drive at exhilarating speeds until you get the flag to bring you into the pits.

Single Seater Racing Car Driving

Length of activity 1-4 hours.

A great day spent racing a single seater racing car and getting expert racing tuition from a qualified instructor.

Once you have arrived at your chosen venue you will begin a safety briefing after which you will take out a performance saloon car and complete laps under the guidance of a qualified instructor. You will be given tips on racing lines and braking so that you can utilise this knowledge in the single seater later on. Once you are comfortable out on the track you will be able to take the wheel of your single seater racing car which will be a Formula First, Formula Renault or Formula Ford.

The maximum height is 6′ 2″, and the minimum is 5′ 2″.
You need to have had a valid UK manual driving license for at least a year with no serious offences to take part in this activity.

This driving day is available from March to Octobe on selected weekdays dependent on location chosen.

Number of participants

Driving is on a one to one basis, but the car will be shared by other drivers during the day.

You are very welcome to bring spectators to watch you drive.
